Look at him, right now. He wants to re-write the history by recognizing General Miguel Malvar. Doesn't he have any more important things to think about? Is there anybody there other than his minios willing to give a fuck on whether Malvar became a president after Aguinaldo was captured? I don't think there is. And rightly so because there are more pressing issues that needs to be addressed. There are far more important things that require immediate attention.What he is doing is no different from the legislations banning Angry Birds and Planking.
He's also the kind of person who's going to take populist stance no matter how impractical and ridiculous it is. As long as the "masa" will love it, he'll love it. Just look at his comments on the Al-Barka incident. He's calling for the all-out war against the MILF. That's because a few outspoken people supports the war, you need to go for it. It's as if he is not really thinking. Or does he? Well, do not underestimate the sinister ways of this man. He is actually calling of an all-out-war because he know fully well that the president will not go for it. He does not necessarily want or believe that we need to start another Erap-style war. He just want to voice whatever the vocal small minority is clamoring for. It's a celver exploitation of the situation. And he's putting the president in a very awkward situation.
Now I know why P'noy is not giving him more responsibilities in the government. The president know fully well that the position will only be used for grandstanding. It may be even used as a platform from where Binay will attack Noynoy.
