At last, LaMancha Pyro Productions will once again stage the widely anticipated World Pyro Olympics. It is said to be the largest international pyrotechnic competition in the world held annually with this being the third time.
This year's PyrOlympics will feature 9 competing countries with an exhibition display from the host country, Philippines. It will be held at the Esplanade at the back of the back of the SM Mall of Asia. The last two competitions are also held in that area but it is expected to me more exciting now as the construction of the Esplanade is already complete.
The competition will feature 18-20 minutes of Pyrotechnic display of two competing countries every Saturday. The following is the schedule of presentation.
April 5, 2008 - China and Germany
April 12, 2008 -Japan and Canada
April 19, 2008 - Italy and Venezuela
April 26, 2008 - France and Korea
May 3, 2008 - Australia and Philippines (host country exhibitor only, not in competition)

Though a little bit late this year(previous years were held in time for New Year celebration), it is still a welcome news for fireworks display enthusiasts and spectators. Moreover, this is another chance for photographers(amateurs and professionals) to test their skills.
